The difference between being ok and awesome.

I have ordered plenty of stuff from Amazon and similar sites, and their service has always been ok. But not once have they surprised me or done anything that made me think “this is awesome!”.

So when the latest issue of The Manual arrived, I opened the package expecting to find my ordered copy. This alone would have made my day, but together with the book there was an envelope saying ‘A Gift From Mailchimp’. Inside the envelope I found three postcards with illustrations from the issues of The Manual.

Then I remembered that together with the first issue of The Manual, I got three custom A6 notebooks included. Stuff like this just blows my mind and this is the difference between being ok and awesome.
